Description

In "The Call of Cthulhu", two things stand out for most people: the trademark imagery of the Cthulhu monster's tentacled, squid-like mouth and the overarching theme of madness throughout the story. These directly inspired my book's design concept. Entirely black and white, the illustrations carry an inchoate form, as if manifested in a Rorschach ink blot test. There is one illustration for each part of the story, ultimately leading to a portrait of Cthulhu itself. This suggests that the reader has gone mad.
